Despite getting a record of 23 wins in the Copa Del Rey, the second-highest in the cup’s history, Athletic Bilbao’s has never won the Final since 1984. It reached and won the Final frequently between 1903 and 1985. Bilbao’s last win in 1984 was fought against Barcelonan with a 1-0 score. However, its last Final round in 2009 was won by the Catalan club with a 4-1 score. Gaining 4 losses and 1 draw in its last five matches, Bilbao has lots to prove in this year’s Copa Del Rey Final.

Barcelona, being the stronger contender in this match, has previously beaten Bilbao in the 2009 Copa Del Rey Final. It enjoys a strong record of 3 wins and 2 draws in its last five matches. Since Bilbao’s last win in 1984, Barcelona won the Copa Del Rey five times in 1988, 1990, 1997, 1998 and 2009. Barcelona’s record of 25 cup wins is the highest in the history of Copa Del Rey.

7 Important Factors When Betting for Football

When you bet on football, you have to form your own betting strategies. If you want to make any football betting strategy work, you must observe the different things that could affect the outcome of your bets.  Here are some important factors that you need to take note all the time when betting on football matches.

News on Teams

When betting on football, it is important to keep in tune with the latest news of your favourite football team. Take note of the latest news involving your chosen team that is relevant to the outcome of your bet. News such as player injuries, relegation rumours, management change and the like have a strong bearing on your bet. The performance of the team that you have betted for can change due to those updates.

Determination of Teams

Your chosen football team’s determination towards a certain match could affect the outcome of your bet. Check if your chosen team has expressed determination to win an upcoming match, especially if it is going to face its rival or if it is focused on winning the title after years of being winless.

Team Records on Last Matches

Recent performances of your favourite team could determine whether or not it is getting stronger or weaker. Before you place your bets, always research on records of recent performances of your chosen team. Those records have a convincing connection to the possible outcomes of your bet.

Head-to-Head Team Records

It is also important to search whether the football team you have betted for has a history of previous matches with its opponent in an upcoming match. Check on head-to-head records of your chosen team versus its opponent so that you could see which of the two sides have an impressive record.

Team Records on Home and Away

Study on statistics involving your chosen football team’s home and away records. Your chosen team could have a history of scoring better when playing on either home or away games.

Team Schedule

Examine the schedule of your chosen football team you are betting for. Your team’s performance can also be determined through its schedule. See if your team is going to play important matches or participate in a series of games crammed in one month. Those factors could either make your chosen team tired or more motivated to win.

Sportsbook Odds

Check the odds designated for your preferred football team. Pick a trustworthy sportsbook that offers great odds values such as 12BET to make the most out of your sports betting experience. In that way, you will earn more money as you win in your bets

With the 1-0 score Liverpool defeated Cottagers which clearly made them to the FA Cup and face their rival team Chelsea.

Liverpool defeat Chelsea twice at Stamford Bridge in Nov, first in the Premier League and then in the Carling Cup quarter-final. However Chelsea are the bookies’ favourites to lift the FA Cup but with Liverpool’s form in knockout competitions far exceeding their league form, the Reds will be optimistic of adding an eighth FA Cup to the club’s trophy cabinet.

Chelsea also rested players in midweek ahead of Saturday’s game; Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Juan Mata all started on the bench for Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle on Wednesday. Didier Drogba has been on the bench for Chelsea’s last two games, but may start at Wembley unless Roberto Di Matteo keeps faith in ex-Red Fernando Torres. At the back, Branislav Ivanovic may partner John Terry in central defence as David Luiz and Gary Cahill are both still recovering from hamstring injuries.

The game play will be on 5/09/2012 at 3:00 AM GMT+8.
This will gonna be the most out of it game in FA. More exciting and more fun.

Things were never easy from the very beginning between Bayern München and Real Madrid. After about a decade, those two teams are now facing against one another once more. Bayern takes over as the eminent force this time, as decided by the outcome of their previous match in Allianz Arena during this year’s first leg of the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals. With two goals slotted in its favor, Bayern’s current status as the top dog against Real makes the whole situation harder to fathom, with the latter being more than eager to push a top Clásico game against Barcelona closer to reality.

With the explosive nature of their previous showdown, as characterized by a staggering release of nine yellow cards shared by both teams, both Bayern and Real have to keep their respective strategies at their respective cockpits, given that automatic suspensions are expected to rain at the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals, to be held at the Bernabéu Stadium this April 26, 2012 at 2:45 am (GMT + 8). Whether Real composes its fragile defense to a more formidable one which it could use to boost its critical away goal from Allianz or Bayern continues to persist in their goal to pin their heaviest Spanish rival through its cast of Gómez, et al., this upcoming confrontation is sure to mark another spectacular event in the history of the Bayern-Real derby.

Wolves midfielder gutted in the wake of relegation

Wolves-v-Manchester-City-Karl-Henry-Terry-Con_2754451.jpg (660×350)
Karl Henry has labelled it a ‘sad day’ for Wolves after their relegation was confirmed following a 2-0 loss to Manchester City.

Terry Connor’s men needed to see off City to stand any chance of avoiding going down, but the succumbed courtesy of goals from Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri.
Henry admits his team-mates have held their hands up over their poor season, stating their form over the course of the campaign has not been good enough.

Terry Connor has taken charge of the club’s last ten Premier League games following McCarthy’s sacking, although Henry does not believe he is to blame for their plight.

“I think the timing was bad, we’re all well aware of that. The chairman felt he wanted to move in a different direction. He’s the boss,” he continued.

“Terry Connor’s come into a difficult situation. He’s taken over and we’ve all tried to take his ideas on board. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do it. We were already on a downward spiral.

“I don’t think it’s something that’s happened since Terry’s taken over. We were in the bottom three. We’ve been struggling all season. We’ve not been good enough and I’m gutted.”

Striker Loic Remy has insisted Marseille will not coast to the end of the season after rescuing a potentially disastrous campaign by winning a third successive Coupe de la Ligue title at the weekend. Saturday’s 1-0 extra-time victory over Lyon at the Stade de France ensured the beaten Champions League quarter-finalists of European action next season, albeit it in the Europa League.

Caen too will hope they can do significantly better during the run-in as they attempt to drag themselves out of relegation trouble. They head for the Stade Velodrome sitting in 17th place in the table, five points better off than basement boys Auxerre, but ahead of Ajaccio and Sochaux only on goal difference. Caen ended their wait for a league victory at the seventh attempt when they beat Bordeaux 1-0 last time out courtesy of midfielder Nicolas Seube’s early strike.
